Somewhere I was reading about how the quality of oil paint was particularly conducive to the rendering of fruit and flowers in still-life painting. It started me thinking of how I could photograph still lives applying the particular qualities of the black and white analog process; the rich smooth tonality of the light sensitive chemical process, together with its underlying sense of veracity.
