WALKING CITY
(1995-2008)
Walking City evokes the modernist gaze of the flâneur, roaming of the streets, seeking refuge in the crowd. The city is both a room and a landscape, where the outward experience of the urban is ultimately an inward experience of self-reflection.
The work consists of 11 series of images: Windows, Sky, Sleepers, Corridors, Flowers, Walls, Streets, Profiles, Hands, Pushcarts, Crosswalks. Photographs from these series are available as discret prints. Each series is also available as an album. I have also made a film built from the still images, interwieving the 11 series of images.
